The Canadian Association for Leisure Studies (CALS) is delighted to announce its participation in the 94th edition of Congress, hosted at George Brown College in downtown Toronto from June 2 to 4 2025. This year’s theme (Leisure as a Bridge: Reframing Togetherness in a Changing World) invites us to consider leisure as a dynamic connector—building bridges between individuals, communities, and ideas in a world shaped by constant change. Leisure provides opportunities to foster inclusivity, strengthen bonds, and address shared challenges, while also celebrating the diversity of human experiences. Through this theme, we seek to explore how leisure can adapt, innovate, and create spaces for meaningful connection amidst social, cultural, and environmental transformations.
