Therí Pickens wrote Black Madness : Mad Blackness (2019) and New Body Politics (2014). She has edited three volumes: Arab American Aesthetics (2018), and two special issues of academic journals on Blackness and disability. She is also a Pushcart Prize nominated poet. Her poetry has appeared in Langston Hughes Review, Prairie Schooner, The Ending Hasn’t Happened Yet, Diode, The Journal, Black Renaissance/Renaissance Noire, Save the Date, and Disability Studies Quarterly. She also owns a developmental editing and sensitivity reading business for fiction and non-fiction writers.
