“International development” is at a critical juncture. The past year has been marked by appalling human suffering, injustices, and a failure of global governance. The convergence of the current armed conflicts, combined with the lingering effects of the global pandemic, escalating climate change, and persistent inflation, has intensified a multifaceted global crisis. Addressing the overlapping challenges requires new strategies, new mindsets, and new coalitions for change.

Building on the Congress 2025 theme of "Reframing Togetherness", we invite papers and conversations that critically engage with power asymmetries, knowledge hierarchies, and inequalities, to advance new theories, policies, and practices. We seek to foster dialogue and scholarship that not only critiques existing paradigms but also proposes actionable solutions that honor the inherent worth of every individual. We invite you to look forward and imagine the future you wish to see, and to consider the barriers and opportunities for achieving the future we want.

We welcome submissions (papers and panels) that consider pluriversality and diverse ways of knowing, valuing all human lives, justice for all, ending xenophobia, putting people before profit, and rethinking poverty and wellbeing.
