What to expect

Theme

Congress 2022 comes at an extraordinary time, as we hope to finally emerge from a global pandemic that has stolen millions of lives and disrupted the world as we knew it. At this crucial moment, we invite you to reflect on the past two years of the COVID-19 pandemic and to lead challenging new conversations that can help us understand and shape our changing reality. Our theme is Transitions.”

Our commitment to EDID

Guided by Igniting Change, the independent report by the Congress Advisory Committee on Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Decolonization (EDID), the Federation is leading an ambitious agenda to support critical conversations about anti-colonialism, anti-Black racism, reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples, and other pressing social justice issues. We remain committed to making Congress a safer, more equitable, inclusive, and accessible space for those conversations to happen. We look forward to collaborating with you on this journey. Read more about our commitment to EDID.

Association conferences

Thirty-eight associations will hold their annual conference at Congress 2022. Is yours one of them? Search for your association in the list and find your conference details, call for papers deadlines, programming, and much more.

Public access

Don’t see your association on the list? Not a member of a scholarly association? No problem! You can still join Canada’s largest virtual academic gathering by attending open events as well as any of the association conferences as a non-member. Community passes will be available for purchase in April, with complimentary access for Black and Indigenous community members.

Programming

Congress offers hundreds of open events to choose from, hosted by associations, the Federation, and key partners. Check our Program page in a few weeks for all the details.

Online platform

This year, we are again partnering with Forj to bring you the best of virtual conferencing. Guided by the feedback we received at Congress 2021, we are working hard to offer you an enhanced experience. Sneak peeks to come.
