In recent years, great progress has been made towards increasing equity, diversity, inclusion, accessibility, and decolonisation (EDIAD) in all aspects of scholarly communications but a number of challenges remain. The Canadian Association of Learned Journals (CALJ) has been exploring EDIAD including a recent focus on how the Coalition for Diversity & Inclusion in Scholarly Communications (C4Disc) Toolkits for Equity can be used by editors to promote EDIAD best practices for their journals. In this year's session, we will be exploring case studies and success stories for incorporating EDIAD principles in scholarly communications, discussing remaining challenges and barriers, and also exploring what the future may hold for improving EDIAD in scholarly communications communities.
