Join us for an enlightening panel discussion featuring three remarkable innovators showcased in the new book, Canadians Who Innovate: The Trailblazers and Ideas That Are Changing the World by Roseann O’Reilly Runte, President and CEO of the Canada Foundation for Innovation and a former President of the Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences. The panelists will share their inspiring journeys and offer insights into the challenges they have overcome and the breakthroughs they have achieved. The global challenges we face today require innovation in every field—including the arts, humanities and social sciences. This panel brings together Anna Triandafydillidou, an international expert in the field of immigration, Andrew Pelling, one of the most creative chemists in the world, and S. Gordon Harwood who moved from software development and guided missile systems to a career as a visual artist who shares his art with those incarcerated in prison. Please do not miss this opportunity to consider how innovation requires knowledge, experience and discipline as well as freedom and how the power of creative minds can change our world.
