Social media for citation driving
When: Thursday, June 4, 2015, 10:30 - 12:00
In this workshop, the factors that contribute to relevance weighting in search engines will be examined. We will also look at comparisons of major algorithms. Participants will learn how to influence these rankings by optimizing their PDFs and websites for the bots that map the web. Lastly, we will share a toolkit of web applications to help increase the visibility of an academic web footprint. More information here.

Parenting in academia

Thinking about balancing the worlds of academia and parenting? Come chat with fellow graduate students and professors who are living this balance. After a short introduction by each of our 'experts', they will disperse across the room and you will be able to chat (as a small group) with three of the experts for 15 minutes each.
