Celebrating Black History Month

From scholarly books on Canada’s Black beauty culture and the contributions of Black women teachers to anti-racist education in Canada, to Big Thinking lectures on the transmission of racism through the flinching away from Black touch and the legacy of mutual aid systems put in place by Black diaspora women, let's celebrate Black voices in the HSS community — in February, and every month.

Don't forget to check out the biographies of some notable Black Canadians who have helped shape Canadian heritage and identity, curated by Heritage Canada.
