Tips and resources to help prepare you for Congress 2024.
Congress 2024 @ McGill University from June 12 - June 21, 2024.
An update on the situation on the McGill campus.
Over the past weeks, the Federation has been in conversation with associations participating in Congress 2024 regarding the ongoing strike and pro-Palestinian encampment on McGill’s campus.
We understand that many attendees are concerned about what this means for the upcoming Congress at McGill. Congress 2024 is going ahead on the McGill campus as long as it remains safe and accessible to do so, as well as online.
As part of these discussions, we have offered associations to move their conference or a portion of their conference to the Congress Virtual Platform. To find out your mode of participation, please contact your association. The latest programs and schedules will be updated as they become available on the Association conferences page.
Please be advised that the refund deadline for individual Congress registrations was April 15. Congress registration is two-fold – with a Congress Fee and an Association Conference Fee – and the Federation will redistribute the Association Conference Fee to all associations, regardless of participation status, after Congress, as we always do.
The Federation’s mission is to bring together a network of universities, colleges, and scholarly associations, and to promote the value of research and education in the humanities and social sciences. It is precisely during times like these that we feel academics must come together and demonstrate the valuable work that we do. We hope you can join us.
We will continue to monitor the situation and communicate important planning and logistics notices to attendees in the lead-up to, and during, Congress and look forward to welcoming you in June.
