Join scholars, higher education professionals, teachers, and students at the 2025 Canadian Society for the Study of Higher Education (CSSHE) Conference at Congress, being held at George Brown College in Toronto. Our conference will take place June 1-3 (inclusive), with a pre-conference workshop on May 31.

Participants come from across the higher education sector, holding a range of roles and bringing diverse perspectives on Canadian and international higher education. The conference location, George Brown College, marks the first time Congress will be held at a Canadian college with the pre-conference workshop focusing on colleges within Canada’s higher education landscape.
The overarching theme, Rethinking Togetherness, creates the opportunity for participants to share diverse and differing views within a respectful and accepting space. This theme further calls for and encourages our commitment to share various perspectives in Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Decolonization (EDID), and on Black and Indigenous experiences and scholarship in Canadian higher education.

CSSHE is committed to delivering an inclusive and accessible conference experience. There will be both in-person and virtual portions of the conference again to open up the CSSHE conference to a wider diversity of voices and topics and to accommodate participants’ needs with time and location.
