Mock - York University programming

About York University programming

York University is pleased to offer an exciting lineup of cultural and academic programming under the themes Arts@Congress and Community Engagement and Connections in collaboration with local artists and organizations.

Programming reflects a deepened understanding of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and showcases York’s strengths in interdisciplinary research, community engagement, and the arts.

Programming also recognizes York’s location in the Jane and Finch community, one of the most racially diverse communities in the City of Toronto with a high proportion of youth, refugee and immigrant families. These events seek to bridge the gap between the University and wider society by positioning community art, activism and knowledges as central to the work of the humanities and social sciences.

Reckonings and Re-Imaginings is about changing belief systems and imagining a radically different world that is safe, equitable and sustainable for all. We invite you to help right the future at Congress 2023.
