Webinar
October 20, 2022

On November 15, the Federation and Acfas will be co-hosting a free webinar entitled “Publish in English or perish: Challenges and opportunities of French-language research in Canada.”

Centred on the 100th anniversary of Acfas and drawing on the 2022 Cross-Canada Official Languages Consultations, this event will discuss the findings and policy recommendations from the recent Acfas report, Portrait and Challenges of Research in French in the Minority Context in Canada, as well as the possible impact of Bill C-13 – an act to amend the Official Languages Act – on the implementation of its recommendations.

The webinar will take place via Zoom from 1 pm to 2 pm EST in English and French, with simultaneous interpretation in French. There will also be live captioning in English and French, and transcripts will be available post-event.
