What is the title of your Congress 2022 presentation?
A Systematic Review of Online Learning in The Context of International Students
How would you describe the research you will be presenting at Congress 2022?
My systematic review goes through a critical analysis and synthesis process to explore the benefits technology brings to international students, leading to a more comprehensive understanding of how technology works best and what students’ preferences truly are in an online context. The findings reveal five main benefits and provide a conceptual work by identifying a taxonomy of three crucial values of technology integration to teaching international learners in an online environment. Implications are made for managers, educators, and teachers to reshape policies and curriculum designs. The study calls for further studies on teachers’ factors, stakeholders focus, and the roles of language and technological skills of international students in an online learning environment.
How does the research you will be presenting connect with the Congress 2022 theme, Transitions?
Universities over the world have been recruiting lots of international students. In response to the Covid-19, these universities have adopted online teaching to expand students’ access to education for the continuity of learning process. Integrating technology into online teaching is considered as one of the best teaching practices since it provides international students with multiple benefits. This is a required transition in the current context of international education. My review research ushers in an overview and provides an integrative report on how previous studies on the application of technologies in teaching international students have been done, and this will serve as a strong foundation for the current educational transition.
Share your hopes for Congress 2022.
This is the first time I attend Congress 2022; but I am impressed with the conference professional organization with clear instructions, updated information, and good communication. I believe that the conference will bring together experts, researchers, educators, and graduate students from all over the world to make a successful academic event. I am convinced that this will be a valuable opportunity and great experience for me and other presenters to share our research, network, and connect with colleagues, researchers, and experts from Canada and other countries.
