Director of Policy and Programs


Dianne Lalonde is the Director of Policy and Programs at the Federation, covering the parental leave of Hannah Paveck.

Previously, she worked as a Research and Knowledge Mobilization Specialist with the Learning Network at the Centre for Research and Education on Violence Against Women and Children. In that role, Dianne collaborated with gender-based violence (GBV) service providers, experts, and policymakers to enhance evidence-based and trauma-informed GBV prevention and intervention efforts. She has been a strong advocate for the urgent development of Canadian policy on deepfake sexual abuse. 
Dianne holds a PhD in Political Science from Western University, an MA in Political Science from Wilfrid Laurier University, and a BA in Political Studies from Queen’s University. She has published on a wide range of topics including cultural meaning-making, gender equity, and inclusive research practices. 

In her free time, Dianne enjoys playing with her four cats, watching science fiction, and reading webtoons.
